Miami: happiest place to work in 2016May 12, 2016
These past years, Miami has been considered as one of the best places to work, and has been ranked as the N° 1 by Forbes magazine. In many aspects, the “Magic city” is better than its competitors, such as the work-life balance, the employee’s relationship with their employers and colleagues. Add to that the general work environment, the compensation, the opportunities for advancement, the company culture, and the resources, that are all the criteria used to evaluate every city.
A city transformed into a pole of international attractiveness
Miami has been less affected compared to most American cities by the 2008 financial crisis, and reinvented itself to become a worldwide attractiveness pole, where many expatriates are coming with their family and sometimes relocating their company. It has ranked better than San Francisco, Los Angeles and Brooklyn for instance.
Additionally, Miami diversified itself in the tourism industry but also in aeronautics, life sciences, fashion, art, and design industries. The attractiveness for startups in Miami has also been growing for several reasons: economic opportunities, tax breaks and less competition for local talents.
A constantly growing development
As the 2nd American financial center for wealth management and with new companies relocated to Miami every day, the Real Estate market in Florida is also growing with several urban projects that contributes to create jobs and ranking Miami as one of the lowest unemployment cities of the country.
